Return-to-Training Plan

Document Overview:

The follow document outlines the Hanover Soccer Club’s “Return-to-Training” Plan.  All protocols and procedures are expected to be followed at all times.

Procedures and Protocols:

  • A schedule is created that allows adequate space for the physical distancing (i.e., at least six (6) feet in between individuals) and is staggered as appropriate.
  • Small groups/teams of the same players and volunteers are created
  • Identify adult staff members or volunteers to help remind players and parents/guardians of social distancing.
  • Parent coaches, organization volunteers, and parents/guardians must wear cloth face coverings.
  • Face coverings should be worn by players on arrival, bathroom breaks, and when leaving the facility.
  • Limit occupancy in the restrooms.
  • All athletes, coaches, and staff are to bring their own water, drinks, and food to practice activities.
  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to leave after dropping of their child.  If parents/guardians do stay, observation will be from pre-designated areas and must wear face covering and ensure to adhere to physical distancing standards.
  • The township will post signage in highly visible locations with reminders regarding social distancing protocols, face covering requirements, and good hygiene practices.
  • Parents are to ensure their child has hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, or other sanitizing materials.  Coaches are to provide their own hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, or other sanitizing materials.
  • Prior to training start time, parents/guardians will check their child for the following symptoms and complete an online questionnaire (form to be emailed to each team and parent):
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath / difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    • Headaches
  • In the event that any of the symptoms are present, or a temperature reading of 100.4F or higher, it is recommended the player should remain at home, and follow the steps outlined by local authorities.
  • Players travelling from virus hot spots should not attend event (training or game) until their 14-day self-isolation period is completed.
  • The follow will follow response and reporting procedures as recommended by the Township of Hanover.  See Appendix A.

The above protocols will be sent to all participants’ families.  See
