Thank You Jim

Please join us in thanking Jim Herbert for all his years of service to the Hanover Soccer Club. In case you haven’t heard our president and board member for the past 10 years has stepped down. Under his tutelage our soccer club has grown and prepared our children to play competitively while keeping the focus on fun and love of the game.
 
Jim has unselfishly dedicated his time to the club and continues to do so by remaining our league contact to the Morris County Youth Soccer Association (MCYSA). Over the years Jim has spent many hours  coaching, coordinating the design of fields with our parks commission, presiding over our board meetings as well as attending and fulfilling the clubs obligation regarding the MCYSA meetings. Jim has spent countless hours safeguarding our fields for use by the children of Hanover Township,  and could be found walking them on many a weekend morning checking that they were ready for play.
 
Jim is now the disciplinary chairperson at the MCYSA while remaining our liaison and continues to referee for the league.

The purpose of the HTSC is to administer a soccer program for the youth of Hanover Township and to promote soccer as a sport.

The objective of both the in-town and travel programs is to provide youth with the best possible soccer experience so that they can achieve their maximum playing potential. In addition to developing soccer skills, both programs seek to encourage fairplay and teamwork in a fun environment.

While soccer is a competitive team sport, the emphasis of the in-town program is primarily instructional. The travel program provides a higher level of competition for those players who desire it.

The HTSC is organized and operated exclusively for benevolent, charitable, social, educational and recreational purposes. No part of any net earnings shall inure to the benefit of any private individual.

The two main and exclusive postal distinctions within the township are Whippany & Cedar Knolls. However, portions of the township share the mailing addresses of Morris Plains & Convent Station.
